getting this error when trying to add a storage account running windows 10 22h2 19045.5131 It seems to have started after i did an in place upgrade to the latest version. My backups have been paused for about 30 days

Hi @cromeanator, It's likely that they're having technical issues and their S3 endpoint responds with some HTTP error message instead of valid XML. Similar issue was reported couple days ago. What's your iDrive E2 region? BTW. Why do you actually try to connect to the endpoint after upgrade? Wasn't it persisted in your profiles? Just asking if there was any persistence issue with the profiles. (edited)

so weird this was totally a me issue apparently ip whitelisting got turned on in my bucket. It only reported this when i went to my region settings. I deleted my connection thinking maybe something got messed up during the upgrade. Sorry about the false positive report!

No worries, that explains things! We probably need to improve this error message, as it comes back here on discussion forum from time to time. ... and iDrive should probably still respond with a valid XML and error message instead of HTML. (edited)

yeah the whole expected but found thing wasnt very clear you could maybe add an expanded error output to give a verbose output of the response code
